The mighty big block Chevy engine is a legendary power plant that has a long history of winning races that continues to this day. Powering everything from stock cars in NASCAR, to McLaren Can Am cars, to ZL-1 Corvettes and Camaros, to Baldwin Motion, Nickey, and Dana specials, to the Big Red Camaro, to offshore racing boats, to thousands of drag racers there’s not a motor sport that hasn’t been dominated by the big block Chevrolet! This engine is labeled as a “427” but the architecture is correct for any Mark IV big block from the 396 to the 502!
Model Behavior has spent nearly a full year developing an all new replica of the legend for your model build, offering more accuracy and detail than any kit with a beautiful, accurate M-22 "Rockcrusher" Manual Transmission. This is the non-Corvette version that would have been in any GM car, besides the Corvette, and is distinguished by it's longer water pump and deeper accessory drive pulleys.
The basic package includes a correct Holley Carburetor, factory style valve covers (including a drivers side valve cover with the booster clearance notch), correct GM "windowed" distributor cap, plugs boots, correct 10CS alternator, factory style exhaust manifolds, oil filter, 14x3" open element air filter, alternator bracket, power steering pump, and drive belt/pulley system.
Optional variations that delete factory components include a dual quad tunnel ram for the Pro Stock racers and Pro Street terrors, a Baldwin Motion "Fly-Eye" Air Cleaner/Cast Valve Cover combination, a dual quad tunnel ram with twin Holley carbs, and this package is intended for applications beyond the Revell 1/12 scale Camaro, which has a “direct fit” application.
