Meet the designer

Hi, my name is Russ and I've been building models for over 50 years. I've been a "car guy" since birth, have owned, restored, and or modified several Firebirds, Camaros, among other vehicles and spent the majority of my professional career working in the automotive industry.

My favorite positions was as a designer with Ravenworks Performance and I began using Solidworks CAD in 2012 to design several engine and suspension components, retail products (such as the actual LS accessory drive now sold in our store for models), and various components used in the company shop for car builds. 

A few years ago home printers finally got to a point where the details were excellent and sold at reasonable prices so I bought one and started making parts for my model builds, and for close friends, using Solidworks. The feedback from friends and others who saw them made me think I could start a business doing this for others.

Every design I offer is my own work, I don't download files from other sites, and I do this because the products I have found on those sites are sorely lacking in scale, details, or overall appearance.  At this time I do not scan products either, but that may change at some point, so I manually measure, take dozens of photos, write a ton of notes, and "draw" each and every part in Solidworks. The LSX engine and T-56 drawings are the result of a couple of years of free time drawing and even a simple air filter can take days to draw, print, evaluate the print for realism, and create a final product. I also send the final products to 3 or 4 very well known builders who are also close friends, close enough to be brutally honest with their opinions (and they REALLY don't hold back) and nothing is offered here that hasn't been scrutinized by this ad hoc "QA committee." This is why I feel comfortable saying that you will not find better products to add to your pride and joy build.

I do not offer files for sale, sorry, I only sell them in printed form and the printers I use are state of the art, maintained weekly, and I use an unusual post-print procedure that ensures top quality.

The website is being launched with the LSX/T-56 packages and a few other products but come back soon, there's a ton of other seriously awesome products being added soon as my website skills, and time, allow.
