FAQ's
I wanted to cover some frequently asked questions, so let's go!
Question - Do you offer products in 1/24 scale, or just 1/25?
Answer - While the actual difference between the 2 scales is on .16% this is important in some cases, especially with many Monogram kits like NASCAR models from the 80's and 90's. Our NASCAR correct carburetor for those kits needs to be printed in 1/24 or it will look a bit undersized. Any product listed in 1/25 scale is available in 1/24 as well, no extra charge. If you need something in 1/24 just use the contact form after placing your order and let us know your order number!
Question - Do you ship outside of the US?
Answer - As of April, 2026, YES! We do ask that you choose FedEx or UPS for shipping as the DHL drop-off is quite far from us.
Question - Are your products ready for paint or do I need to do some cleaning and, or, prep work?
Answer - Our post-printing process is extensive and we do our best to deliver a product that is perfectly clean and needing minimal prep. Large, curved surfaces are still challenging for current state-of-the-art 3D printers like ours so something in 1/12 or 1/8 scale, like the Holley EFI manifold, would benefit from some mild smoothing of the surface before painting. Nothing we ship should have any resin or alcohol residue that you need to address.
Question - Do you do any wheels and tires or bodies?
Answer - The only wheels and tires we currently offer are the spare tires! There are a lot of really good vendors out there offering them and we just don't want to delve into that pool at this point. We don't offer any bodies because, frankly, there are very talented designers out there that do magnificent work that we just can't compete with. That said, we will happily print 1/24-1/25 bodies for $100-150 if you have the STL files. Please contact us for details.
Question - Do you do custom design and printing?
Answer - Not typically, for a variety of reasons. Primarily because very few people are willing to pay $150/hour for design time (and even the simplest designs take a minimum of 2 hours). That fee is lowered if someone is ordering hundreds or thousands of the parts, depending on the scope of the project, but it wouldn't be smart to spend hours designing parts for free. Also, beware of anyone claiming that they do CAD design work cheap or charge low prices for custom designed parts, there's a TON of scammers out there on social media!
Question - Do you do subcontract printing?
Answer - Yes, we have the capacity to print products for your business and have a 250 piece minimum order requirement using your files.
Question - Can you sand, cut, and polish 3D printed resin parts?
Answer - Yes, you can cut sand and polish resin parts but we do recommend using a proper mask when doing so as resins do cause respiratory problems and if you have chemical sensitivities or a history of skin reactions may wish to wear gloves when handling resin parts. If you wish to cut 3D printed parts be aware that resins are more brittle than styrene so use a very fine tooth saw with minimal pressure and you should be fine.
